In collaboration with worksofar studio, we were commissioned by Bentley Motors to develop a series of R&D-focused experiences exploring the future of in-car entertainment and immersive design. The project investigates how emerging technologies can redefine the relationship between sound, light, and visual media within the vehicle environment, transforming it into a fully responsive, multi-sensory space.

One of the core explorations centers around the integration of Dolby Atmos 3D sound objects with real-time lighting and video systems. By tracking and mapping the spatial position, movement, and behavior of each sound object, we designed a system where the car’s interior becomes an active participant in the audio experience.

Light patterns, intensity, and color, as well as visual content across embedded displays, dynamically respond to the location and motion of sound in space, creating a tightly synchronized audiovisual composition.

To support the design, iteration, and prototyping process, we developed a comprehensive VR-based previsualization tool tailored for the Bentley Bentayga, leveraging both the Apple Vision Pro and Oculus platforms. This setup allows us to accurately simulate the interior environment of the vehicle and experience the audiovisual system at scale, providing a true sense of spatial presence and immersion. Within this virtual space, we can explore how sound, light, and visuals interact in real time, test different scenarios, and refine timing, positioning, and behavior with a high level of precision.

By bridging the gap between concept and physical implementation, the tool enables rapid experimentation and informed creative decisions, significantly enhancing the development workflow while ensuring that the final experience translates seamlessly into the real-world vehicle environment.

Due to a non-disclosure agreement, specific technical details of the experience cannot be publicly shared.
